Miss Reta's Legend of Blaze the Bull
When Little Hero's anger rises, Miss Reta doesn't just tell him to calm down — she tells him a story. Blaze was once the strongest bull in the valley, and when he ran, the whole earth shook. People said Blaze was mad. But Blaze wasn't mad — he carried a mighty energy inside him, a "red heat" that made him run fast and strong. That's the same heat your Little Hero feels, and the same heat every child carries. The legend isn't about a bull who appears in the garden — it's the story Miss Reta tells to help a child make sense of the fire inside them.
(the legend)
When the Fire Rises
What it looks like in a little one: A red face, stomping feet, yelling, clenched fists, slamming a door, or wanting to hit or throw something when things don't go their way.
Say this to validate: "You're mad, and that's okay. Let's cool that fire together before we decide what to do next."
Stomp & Cool Riddim
Just like Blaze learned to use his mighty energy instead of letting it run wild, your Little Hero can do the same: stomp both feet twice to let the heat out, then blow out slow — like blowing out a candle or cooling hot soup.
Stomp, stomp — let the heat out. Now blow it out slow, and feel it turn to cool steam.
Say It With Me
"Mi anger can cool like fire to steam. Mi feel it, mi breathe it, and mi find mi calm again."

For You, Mama/Papa
Before you help them cool down, name a time your own temper flared: "I felt so frustrated when ___, and here's how I let my steam out." Kids learn anger doesn't have to be scary by watching you handle yours out loud.
